PUT ISTINE, PRAVDE, LJUBAVI I MIRA

U moderno doba, u srcu Evrope, Bosna i Hercegovina je dozivjela agresiju i najgore torture, sistematska silovanja i ubijanja, genocid i etničko čišćenje.

Iskonska priča o borbi dobra i zla, Davida i Golijata, Abela i Kaina.

Put istine, pravde, ljubavi i mira. Put dobra.

THE WAY OF TRUTH, JUSTICE, LOVE, AND PEACE

Mirsad Solakovic’s book "The Boy Who Said Nothing" is the best example of the invincibility of the Bosnian spirit and the human spirit in general. Today, 22 years after the end of the war, Bosnia and Herzegovina is still a study case at universities and institutes around the world. In the modern age, in the heart of Europe, Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced military aggression followed by worst atrocities, everyday killings of civilians, women and children, genocide, systematic rapes and ethnic cleansing, and as a result 1,5 million citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina displaced across the globe. One of those towns that had seen the worst of this war was Kozarac near Prijedor, and Mirsad was one of those children who experienced horrors of this war on their skin.

The life story of Mirsad Solakovic is like the theme of his book, inspired by his terrible war experience, but it's not „just“ a war story, it's an eternal and universal story. The story of a man, facing the evil, which is at that moment bigger and stronger than him, but still get defeated by one brave man. It is the never-ending story of struggle of „Good“ and „Evil“, David and Goliath, Abel and Cain. Like a Phoenix - rising from the ashes and relive again. The story of Bosnia. Mirsad transformed his wartime experience and trauma into the greatest creative energy. Through this art and expression he realized his personal catharsis and also showed to all other people, his fellow countrymen and all the people around the world, that if you want to realize your dreams, overcome your fears or trauma, you have to believe in yourself, be positive and persistent, and work towards your dreams and goals. And sooner or later you will reach them.

"The boy who said nothing" during the war used silence as invisible wall to protect his human dignity, himself and his family. In peace, the boy decided to speak loudly and express himself in all possible ways, to express all of his emotions. Mirsad's book is a proof that for a quality artistic creation you must first have an inner urge for expression, and then find the words or any other ways to express yourself.
Through the pages of this book reader will also find songs about love, family, homeland, beautiful nature of Bosnia, nostalgia for childhood days and memories . In each song, the writer has embedded a special emotion, each song is deeply personal and yet so human and universal.

In the explosion of self-help books, in the world that came to the edge of moral crises and crises of values, our civilization finally knows that „human“ is that central term – the question and the answer. A human being who faces evil, defeat it and chooses the right path. The Way of Truth, Justice, Love, and Peace. The path of Good. Mirsad is the personification of such a man and such a mankind. Brave, honest and persistent - he is a symbol of the best values of Bosnia and the Bosnian men and women who built a new life in the new world and become successful but have never forgotten their roots and identity.

Mirsad is a top athlete, an educated and accomplished actor, poet, writer, teacher and a therapist. For all these reasons - the book "The Boy Who Said Nothing" should be compulsory in all the schools, and biography of this young man should be an example of victory of human spirit, strong will and positive energy. Mirsad reached so many wishes, goals and dreams in his life so far, and now he wants to make a film, based on his life experience. I have no doubt that he will succeed completely in this task too. Mirsad's life story is deeply personal and universal in the same time, so - every success of his - is the success of all of us. That's why we are so proud of him and why we want him to continue bravely towards his goals, with great success and joy on that way.
